Driver Installation

NOTE: To protect the drivers from dirt, sunlight, and other natural elements, it is recommended to keep them in their boxes until just before installation.

Materials Needed

  • 4 MAKO Drivers

Tools Needed

  • 3/16" hex screwdriver

Installation

  1. Consult the install print for the driver configuration for each pole.
  2. Remove the required protective covers from the spines. These covers shield the hardware from water and other elements and should only be removed when installing the drivers. Only remove covers at locations where a driver will be installed.
  3. Start at the topmost position and plug in a driver ensuring the pins of the driver are fully inserted.
  4. Secure the driver using four screws supplied with the driver. Start with the top left screw, then move to the bottom right, inserting the screws diagonally. Initially, insert the screws just enough to hold the driver in place without fully tightening them. Next, insert the remaining two screws, and then go back and fully tighten all the screws, torqued to 20 in-lbs.
  5. Continue this process along the spine; the bottom driver should be installed last.
